GLADWYNE, PA – Jackie Donnelly, Director of Nursing at Waverly Heights, was awarded the Leader of the Year Award, as part of the Distinguished Service Awards presented by LeadingAge PA.

LeadingAge PA, an association representing more than 370 aging services providers, today announced the winners of the 50th annual LeadingAge PA Distinguished Service Awards. The awards honor exceptional people who give their time, talents and abundant energy to their communities and demonstrate a deep commitment to serving seniors. The Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates excellence in leadership; playing a pivotal role in the overall operations leading to organizational success.

“Jackie’s caring and compassion for our residents and for individuals outside our community has been truly remarkable.  Her selfless approach to clinical leadership and dedication to quality care are truly admirable traits.   We are proud that Jackie has been recognized by LeadingAge PA for her outstanding leadership and for the many accomplishments she has achieved throughout the pandemic and beyond,” said Tom Garvin, President and CEO of Waverly Heights.

Jackie has demonstrated exemplary leadership to the Waverly Heights community, through her positive impact on staff development and continuous contribution to the Waverly Heights culture and spirit. Donnelly demonstrates a strong commitment to the understanding, knowledge, and service of the senior living industry to the greater community.

“I have always felt that Waverly Heights is the place for me, ever since my first day here. I love Waverly and all of the residents and staff and I feel like Waverly Heights is part of my family,” said Jackie.

Jackie started working at Waverly Heights in 1997. Throughout her 26 years at Waverly, she has worked in various positions including Staff Nurse, Registered Nurse Assessment, and her most recent role,  Director of Nursing.
