GLADWYNE, PA – A pair of nurses at Waverly Heights Life Plan Community is being celebrated for their volunteer efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jackie Donnelly, R.N., Director of Nursing, and Theresa Mscisz, R.N., Assistant Director of Nursing, have played an integral role in keeping their community safe by volunteering their time giving COVID vaccinations at Eric’s RX Shoppe in Horsham.

The pair initially helped organize a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Eric’s Pharmacy for Waverly Heights residents in January. They continued to volunteer every weekend for six months assisting with Eric’s Pharmacy’s in-store vaccine clinics. This was in addition to their full-time work at Waverly where they were instrumental in testing residents and staff during the pandemic, maintaining all required protocols and reports,  and  managing routine and acute resident care.

“All of us at Waverly Heights applaud Jackie and Theresa for going above and beyond,” said Thomas Garvin, President and CEO of Waverly Heights Life Plan Community. “The compassion they have for their neighbors and dedication to keeping their community safe is what makes them integral members of the Waverly Heights team.”

“We are very appreciative of Jackie and Theresa’s dedication and time,” said Eric Abramowitz, owner, Eric’s RX Shoppe. “We have been lucky to have them volunteer at our clinics and look forward to a long-lasting relationship with both nurses and the Waverly Heights community.”
